How to Make Your Own Felt Poppy Brooch

Poppy Brooch kit and an already made felt poppy brooch
With less than 6 weeks before Remembrance Sunday, it's time for Poppy Making! My Poppy Kit contains everything you need to make a professional looking felt brooch. All you will need is a pair of scissors to cut the thread.
In each box, I include all the felt pieces pre-cut. You receive a green leaf, 2 red poppy petals to layer together and a black flower centre. Also included are the black beads to sew on the centre, a needle and the sewing threads needed. Finally, there is a brooch back that you stitch onto the back of your Poppy and written instructions.
Over the years I've often lost the paper poppies sold in shops and on street corners but now I don't lose mine as the brooch back has a safety clasp and the best bit is that I make a donation from the sale of each kit to The Royal British Legion, so you don't have to worry about that either.

If you're a member of a W.I., Craft Group or enjoy making with Friends or Family then this makes an ideal project with a purpose for these autumnal nights. It's all made using simple running stitch - no fancy techniques required!
Once you've made it, you will find its admired by all who see it and you'll receive loads of compliments about the quality so it's worth bearing in mind that it is also an ideal price to gift as a Secret Santa, Stocking Filler or Teacher Gift and if you'd like to post it then you can ask me to send it directly to the recipient. It fits through a standard letterbox. I'm not only happy to do that but if you leave me a message at checkout with your gift message then I'll include that in the package too.
So, you and your friends and family can make your own beautiful Poppy Brooches that won't fall off your coat and you can use them year after year. REMEMBER - Keep the kraft box the kit comes in to store it safely for next year.
